Guernsey County Agricultural Society

The purpose of the Society is organized exclusively for charitable purposes, including for such purposes, the making of distributions to organizations that qualify as exempt organizations described under section 501(C)(3) of the internal Revenue Code or corresponding section of any future federal tax code and shall be to promote, encourage and improve the condition of agriculture, horticulture, promo-logy, industry, science, art, household economics, and the public schools and to promote the general betterment of our communities within Guernsey County and the State of Ohio. This shall be accomplished primarily through the promotion and organization of the annual county fair.

The Guernsey County Ag Society meets each second Thursday of the month at 7:00PM October-May and 7:30PM June-September. 

Any natural person 18 years of age or older and a resident of Guernsey County may become a member of the Guernsey County Agricultural Society of Ohio by paying annually the membership fee of the Society as fixed by the Board of Directors. Membership shall be available after the reorganizational meeting held the second Thursday in November until October 15th of the following year. No person shall be permitted to purchase or secure more than one membership ticket. No membership ticket shall be issued to corporations, organizations, partnerships or firms.  A membership ticket is $50.00 each. Memberships can be purchase by residents of Guernsey County only, are not transferable and give the purchaser 18 years of age or older, voting privileges in the Guernsey County Agricultural Society. Guernsey county residents need not buy an exhibitor’s ticket provided he/she purchase a membership ticket.
